We were all children once (some of us still are!) and I’m sure you can all remember some of the weird and wonderful things parents said to you as a child.
They were surely meant to be words of wisdom, or simply to scare you off doing something wrong – or perhaps, just to be downright embarrassing to you at the time.
Many of us are parents to our own children now and perhaps some of those sayings are coming back to haunt us as we use them on our own kids.

Come on now, admit it. You do it. I do it. We all do it; and if you’re trying to deny it then you are either lying or dead (and even dead people do it too!)

So why is it such an embarrassing subject for so many people?
Nobody throws you out of the room if you cough; people actually give you their blessings when you sneeze so why do bottom burps create such a stir?
